Employment Discrimination

If you were fired, demoted, passed over or harassed because of a protected trait, or punished for speaking up, you may have a claim. Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 151B) covers most employers with six or more employees and protects workers based on race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran status and genetic information.

We handle

  • Wrongful termination based on discrimination or retaliation
  • Failure to accommodate a disability or pregnancy
  • Sexual and racial harassment
  • Age discrimination
  • Unpaid wages, commissions and final paychecks under the Massachusetts Wage Act (G.L. c. 149, §§ 148 and 150), where winning workers recover three times the unpaid amount plus attorney’s fees

Most discrimination claims must start with an MCAD complaint filed within 300 days. Wage Act claims have a three-year deadline.
